Long Sprint Calculator

Long Sprint Calculator (Dick 1987 controls style)

Long Sprint Calculator

Estimate a 200 m performance from a training rep (100 m, 120 m, 150 m, or 180 m) using a table-interpolation approach built from sprint control ranges published by Frank Dick.

How this works
The calculator builds a reference curve from published sprint control ranges (100 m and 200 m are shown as competition electronic times in the table, while intermediate time trials are listed as hand times). It then:
  • Converts your input to an automatic-time equivalent (if hand-timed).
  • Computes the reference time at your distance (100/120/150/180) for each row in the control table.
  • Finds the two nearest rows that bracket your input time, then interpolates the corresponding 200 m time.
