Short Sprint prediction calculator

Short Sprint Predictor (Dick-controls style)

Short Sprint Predictor

Estimate 60 m, 100 m, and 200 m from a training sprint. Default method follows a Dick-controls style lookup, similar in intent to BrianMac's "30 m to 250 m predictions" page.

BrianMac notes adding 0.25 to 0.30 s to convert hand times to electronic for predicted electronic times.

How this "Dick-controls style" method works
1
Uses Frank W. Dick's published control ranges for 100/200 m athletes (Table 1) as anchor points for 30 m, 60 m, 100 m, 200 m.
2
For 40 m, 50 m, 70 m, and 80 m inputs, it estimates where those distances sit on the 0 to 30, 30 to 60, and 60 to 100 segments defined by the table.
3
It brackets your input between adjacent control bands and linearly interpolates predicted 60 m, 100 m, and 200 m.
This is a coaching estimate tool, not an official standard. If the entered time is outside the table ranges, the calculator will clamp to the nearest band and show a warning.
